Queen Charlotte's Ball 2014
Lukas Kroulik - Creative Director, Visualiser and It-girl Maker
Charity: Marie Curie Cancer Care
Designer: Stewart Parvin
Location: Highclere Castle
One of my greatest skills as an organiser and as a creative director is that of finding access to unforgettable locations, and holding the Queen Charlotte’s Ball of 2014 at Highclere Castle truly elevated the event to new heights of elegance.
The sprawling and beautiful country estate is iconic for its prominence in Downton Abbey, and the debutantes making their first appearances in the London Season were able to enter a timeless world in a night designed just for them. I brought some of my closest and most glamorous friends to this year’s ball, and I had the pleasure of collaborating with the wonderful Lady Carnarvon on the day to ensure that this event was a seamless success.
The gowns designed for the girls by Stewart Parvin could not have made a better match, and plenty of money was raised for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The debutantes shone like diamonds in this beautiful setting, and they captivated the imaginations of all who got to see them at Highclere as well as in the papers. I was so proud to be able to make such a dream come true!
